Sherry,
it's great to you you here. I've always been so appreciative of Jason starting the deamer.org site. i was in Israel at the time, and asked him if he would mind me getting a deamer.org address. He said yes, and I've used it ever since - that must have been about 2000 or so.
Actually a fun thing to do is to go to the Internet Archives "Way-back" machine and type in deamer.org and see what the site looked liked over the years.
I've always tried to be really open to any deamer have pages on the web - in fact there are quit a few index pages I've made for people in South Africa, the UK and other places) but they never got around to sending me photos and text. But with the Wiki they can do that themselves.
Out branch of the family came form England to Austria in the early part of the 1900's. We were not a very close family, but my brother has kept in better contact with our cousins than i did. He now lives in Vanuatu.
Deamer.org is primarily that story of that part of the family.
best wishes,
Bryn

Wow. There are Deamers everywhere! I live in Utah, USA. My family came from England also. The earliest Deamer name that I know of is John Deamer born in 1771. HIs son is Charles Deamer and his son is James Deamer. James came to the USA in the mid 1800's. What are the names of your ansesters? It would be interesting to see if we link up anywhere? Most of my family still live in the US. Jason lives here part time and in Italy part time. What a life, huh? I have 2 sisters and 2 other brothers other than Jason. I should invite them here sometime.
Thanks for letting me be a part of your group
Sherry
